Visiting Sekumpul Waterfall is more than just seeing a beautiful waterfall. As a local guide in Sekumpul Village, I have the opportunity to share real experiences with travelers from around the world. Meeting the Guests at Post 1 Parking Area
On this trip, I met three guests from Russia at Post 1 Parking Area of Sekumpul Waterfall. We started our journey at around 11:00 AM.
Before beginning the trek, I explained the route, safety information, and the different waterfalls we would visit. The weather was pleasant, making it a comfortable day for trekking.
As a local guide who regularly accompanies visitors to Sekumpul Waterfall, I always provide information about the trail conditions and the best photo locations along the route.
Walking to the Sekumpul Viewpoint
Enjoying the Scenic Walk
From the parking area, we walked for approximately 15 minutes to reach the famous Sekumpul Viewpoint.
The viewpoint offers one of the most spectacular panoramic views in North Bali. From here, visitors can see the lush green valley and the impressive Sekumpul Waterfall from a distance.
The guests were excited by the scenery and spent time taking photos and videos. I also helped them find the best angles for their pictures.
Capturing Photos and Videos
The viewpoint is one of the most popular photography spots in Sekumpul. The combination of tropical forest, rice terraces, and waterfalls creates an unforgettable landscape.
The guests enjoyed taking several photos and videos before continuing the trek.
Descending to Hidden Waterfall
Trekking Down 350 Steps
After spending time at the viewpoint, we continued our journey toward Hidden Waterfall.
The trail includes approximately 350 steps descending through tropical vegetation. Although the path is well-used by visitors, it requires moderate physical fitness due to the steep sections.
As a local guide, I always adjust the walking pace according to the guests’ comfort level and provide assistance whenever needed.
Visiting Hidden Waterfall
Once we arrived at Hidden Waterfall, the guests enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.
Although they did not swim at Hidden Waterfall, they spent time appreciating the natural beauty and taking photographs.
Crossing the River to Sekumpul Twin Waterfall
The Highlight of the Trek
From Hidden Waterfall, we crossed the river and continued to Sekumpul Twin Waterfall.
This section of the trek is often considered the most exciting part of the journey because visitors get much closer to the waterfalls and can fully experience the power of nature.
Swimming Beneath the Waterfall
The three guests from Russia were amazed by the beauty of Sekumpul Twin Waterfall.
They decided to swim and relax in the natural surroundings. Because they enjoyed the location so much, they stayed there for approximately one hour.
The fresh mountain water and stunning scenery made this part of the tour the highlight of their visit.
Returning to the Viewpoint and Back to the Parking Area
After spending time at Sekumpul Twin Waterfall, we began the trek back.
The return journey required climbing the same staircase back toward the viewpoint. Once we reached the viewpoint again, the guests felt tired after several hours of trekking and swimming.
To make the journey more comfortable, they chose to use a local motorcycle taxi service (ojek) from the viewpoint area back to Post 1 Parking Area, where we had first met.
We arrived back at the parking area at approximately 2:30 PM, completing a memorable 3.5-hour adventure.
